Jeff & Matt Hardy

Matt and Jeff Hardy had a dream of becoming world famous wrestlers since their childhood, being inspired by figures such as Sting, or Shawn Michaels. Jeff had been on WWF TV as a jobber when he was 16. Before teaming with his brother, Matt was trained by former wrestler Hulk Hogan. The two brothers along with friends started their own federation , the TWF (Trampoline Wrestling Federation) and imitated the moves they saw on TV.

Their federation changed names and was eventually integrated into a county fair, the two brothers beginning to work for other companies. OMEGA (Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts) was the name of the promotion Matt formed with Thomas Simpson before joining the World Wrestling Federation. The full-time contract for the two brothers came in 1998. The Hardy Boyz was the acrobatic tag team they formed; they won the WWE Tag Team Championship six times, securing their place in the WWE history.

Two years later, together with their friend Lita they became known as "Team Xtreme". Jeff gained most of his popularity by performing high risk stunts, being considered the most reckless performer of the WWF.  2001 was the year when Jeff held both the WWE Intercontinental as well as the Light Heavyweight Championships. In 2001, after Jeff Hardy's Intercontinental Championship run, Matt was given the chance to act solo. With the European Championship on SmackDown! won, Matt teamed up with Jeff and won the WWF Tag Titles once again and the WCW Tag Titles during the The Invasion.

The team, together with Lita, made their first appearance since 2003 at Unforgiven 2006, in a match against Johnny Nitro. At December to Dismember 2006, the Hardy Boyz took on any team willing to face them in an open challenge. MNM answered the challenge but they lost to the legendary duo. At Armageddon 2006, the two were faced with Paul London and Brian Kendrick, MNM, and Dave Taylor and William Regal but lost. In 2007, the Hardy Boyz entered a 10-team battle and won for the sixth time the title of the World Tag Team Championship.
