Brian Kendrick
Brian Kendrick is one of the most eccentric and unusual players in the SmackDown series and, together with his partner Paul London, they are one of the most exciting and unpredictable duo in WWE. Kendrick started being a part of the wrestling culture by joining the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy in the summer of 1999. Because he was one of the smallest trainees at HBK’s school, many considered it would be wise to send him to fight in Mexico or Japan, where size doesn't matter as much as the U.S.
Well-known for overcoming similar barriers, Shawn Michaels was the one that say Kendrick's potential and gave him the chance to succeed. Following his first match with Texas Wrestling Academy graduate American Dragon, Brian received a standing ovation. His hard work and eccentric personality made him known in events such as UPW, Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling ZERO-ONE and various Japanese events under the nickname Spanky.
Seeing his great performance, Stephanie McMahon hired him to play in SmackDown!. Kendrick requested in January 2004 to terminate his WWE contract, not getting enough money and wanting to join the Pro Wrestling ZERO-ONE in Japan. In August 2004, he opened a contract with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling but only stayed for two games. From the beginning of 2005 to August, he was a part of the Ring of Honor and Zero One.
The new contract with the World Wrestling Entertainment came by the end of June 2005. He joined a special Eddie Guerrero tribute show and re-teamed with his ex-partner Paul London. They made their first appearance on the SmackDown! Show in December 2005. After defeating MNM at Judgment Day 2006, they become WWE Tag Team Champions and successfully defended their title against The Mexicools, or KC James & Idol Stevens.
After establishing the record of the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions of all time in October 2006, they started losing in front of the new duo William Regal and Dave Taylor. The title defense at Armageddon 2006, London and Kendrick won in front of Regal and Taylor, also having a fatal dispute with MNM and The Hardys. In February 2007, the rookies Deuce 'N Domino defeated them but they kept their title, while on No Way Out 2007, the duo successfully defended their title.
