The Undertaker

Mark Calaway, known as the Undertaker, started his career wrestling in the USWA as "The Punisher". His first mainstream fight was in the World Championship Wrestling, the most important fight being against Lex Luger for the 1990 NWA United States Championship which he lost.  The Undertaker was introduced by Ted DiBiase as the final member of his “Million Dollar Team” in the 1990 Survivor Series. He then left them team and made his debut on WrestleMania by defeating Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka in 1991. After only a year, he won for the first time the WWE Championship from Hulk Hogan.

In WrestleMania VIII, the Undertaker found himself defeating an ex-ally, Jake “The Snake” Roberts , becoming the fan's favorite. By 1996, he won the WrestleMania XII, constituting his fifth consecutive  victory. In 1999, Calaway or the Deadman teamed with the Acolytes, The Brood, Mideon & Viscera against Mr. McMahon and the Corporation, defeating them in a Cell Match at WrestleMania X. He then defeated Steve Austin at the 3rd WWE Championship in May 1999.

The Deadman returned in May 2000, in the middle of a rivalry then-WWE Champion Triple H and D-Generation X. That December, Undertaker together with The Rock won the title World Tag Team Championship but only for 3 days.  After a series of victories, he then took a break and competed again in the 2003 Royal Rumble, where he was the last man eliminated by eventual winner Lesnar. Conflicts continued to rise, Lesnar being helped by Mr. McMahon to defeat the Deadman at No Mercy.

After challenging and losing to McMahon, the Undertaker was not seen for four months but stalked RAW Superstar Kane, who attacked his brother to help the WWE Chairman bury him alive. At WrestleMania, the Deadman was challenged by RAW’s Randy Orton. Despite his attempts, Deadman defeated him with perfect 13-0 at WrestleMania, injuring Orton’s shoulder in the process. At the 2006 Royal Rumble, Undertaker returned when Kurt Angle celebrated his world title defense. After challenging the champion, the Undertaker lost his match with Kurt Angle at No Way Out 2006.

After a series of failures, he reunited with Kane to form the Brothers of Destruction and defeated the team of Mr. Kennedy and MVP. In the 2007 Royal Rumble, won his first Royal Rumble match,  eliminating Shawn Michaels. He thus became the first man to enter the Rumble at No. 30 and go on to win the match.
